Felbridge Rope Walk -

Jeremy & Stephonie Clarke have researched the Felbridge area since 1998 when they formed the local history group. In this illustrated talk, Jeremy Clarke will explain the evidence for, and purpose that led to commercial scale rope making in Felbridge, a long way from the coast. You will learn how rope was traditionally made and then volunteers from the audience will manufacture some rope to help you visualise this ancient craft.
