Hampshire Genealogical Society covers all the parishes within Hampshire.
We publish a wide range of Village Booklets which are a one stop guide to many Hampshire parishes and their associated records. Thanks to over 45 years of research, we have transcribed nearly 500 years of parish records, together with Monumental Inscriptions from throughout Hampshire.
We work in partnership with Hampshire Record Office in Winchester.
Our research centre has been based at the Record Office for the last 18 months, and we run a help desk in the search room on Tuesday and Thursday 10am - 4pm. We currently have an exhibition highlighting the work of our volunteers on display in the foyer of Hampshire Record Office.
Our membership is worldwide, and in addition to our local groups within Hampshire we now have both an international group and a national group which meet via zoom on alternate months. Local group meetings take place monthly in Alton, Andover, Basingstoke, Fair Oak, Fareham, Fleet & Farnborough, Gosport, Ringwood, Romsey, and Winchester.
