Shropshire Family History Society has been in existence for 45 years, with over 1000 members from all around the world.

Membership is open to anyone interested in family history: whether your ancestors are from Shropshire, or further afield. We are a friendly lot why not talk to us about your research. You may even discover you have Shropshire ancestors you’ve not yet found!

We publish a quarterly journal in March, June, September and December and hold monthly meetings over Zoom so we can link with our members across the world. Talks take place on the third Tuesday of each month, except July and August.

We also have a DNA Special Interest Group and a Talking Family History Group, both of which meet online each month.

We also hold occasional meetings/events at Cross Houses, Shrewsbury.

Our new website is in development and we hope to launch it in late spring.
